Budget Billing We offer budget billing to our members who have been in their location for one year or more and have a good credit rating. Budget billing begins in July of each year and June of the following year is the settle-up month. We base the monthly budget amount on a twelve month history of the member's account and adjust for any abnormal weather or any power cost changes. If a member is on the budget program and fails to make their monthly payment they will be removed from the budget plan. Water Heaters As a member of the Fulton County REMC, you may receive a Free 50 gallon electric water heater. To qualify for a free 50 gallon electric water heater you must:
If you qualify for the Free 50 gallon water heater, the Fulton County REMC will provide free water heater maintenance, including parts and labor, subject to the availability of parts. The free maintenance will also be provided for those who presently have a water heater switch installed. If you do not have the water heater installed within 30 days or you do not have a load management switch installed, you will be billed for the water heater; and maintenance will be provided on a fee basis. You will not qualify to receive a free water heater for a mobile home or double wide home, unless the home is mounted on a permanent foundation or basement. The Fulton County REMC does not deliver or install the water heaters and maintenance does not include the repair or replacement of plumbing or electrical work. Maintenance will be available only during normal business hours (8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday) and someone must be home during our visit. 40 and 80 gallon water heaters are also available at a cost to the member. Light Bulbs and household fuses are also available at the Fulton County REMC office School Safety Program Fred Bauman, Director of Member Services, provides safety demonstrations to local 4th graders each Spring. The demo includes many outdoor safety rules and concludes with a demonstration of the power of electricity by cooking a hot dog. The kids always enjoy the demontration and retain a lot of valuable safety information. Mr. Bauman also conducts safety demos for other organizations in the community. We also conduct a high voltage demontration every year at the Fulton County 4-H fair. Our linemen perform several functions at the demo that they do out in the field. Commercial and Industrial Customer Services Fulton County REMC is equipped to offer its customers an array of new services that can improve efficiency and cut costs. If you use a large amount of electricity, we can make sure you're getting the most from your energy dollar. For example, if you are a manufacturer, a school, an agricultural customer with a lot of energy consuming equipment or a commercial account, we'll perform an audit of your power use and find where greater energy efficiencies can be achieved - many times at little or no cost. We also offer new and more efficient energy consuming products that will begin to pay for themselves with energy savings in a very short time.
