Bills are issued on a monthly basis, and are due upon receipt. Bills that remain unpaid after thirty days become delinquent, and the account becomes subject to collection and disconnection procedures in accordance with the REMC rules and regulations.
SmartHub Pay online by credit card or debit card
Once you have been given an account number, you can register an account to log into SmartHub using your Email address and Password to view and pay your electric bill online using a debit/credit card, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It is easy, fast, and secure. You chose the amount to pay, date to pay, and payment method through a checking or savings account. We do not accept checks online. This also allows you to utilize Paperless Billing where your bill is emailed as soon as it is available instead of waiting for it to arrive in the mail.
ACH Autodraft - ACH Autodraft allows your bill payment to be automatically drafted from your bank account or credit/debit card for the amount due on the 15th of each month. This option is availble within your secure SmartHub account (See above for E-bill). This gives you the assurance that your bill is always paid on time and you will not have any late fees assessed if you forget to pay, plus you can stop buyings stamps.
Budget Billing - We offer budget billing to our members who have been in their location for one year or more and have a good credit rating. Budget billing begins in August of each year and July of the following year is the settle-up month. We base the monthly budget amount on a twelve month history of the member's account and adjust for any abnormal weather or any power cost changes. If a member is on the budget program and fails to make their monthly payment they will be removed from the budget plan.
Pay Now - Pay Now allows members to access their account information as well as an option to make single, one-time payments online without registering an account, just the billing account number. This option does not require payments to be drawn on a scheduled basis.
